Since it has been awhile since I posted I figured I would post twice today!
In my last post, LAMP vs WAMP I mentioned installing a new 64bit Linux Operating System. Well, if you know me at all, you know I had to try testing the system in a real-life environment.
In other words, “Is a 64bit OS really faster than a 32bit System?”

# Intel Extreme Edition dual-core multi-threading Pent4 3.2Ghz CPU
# Intel D955XBK Mother Board with 6GB 667MHz DDR2 RAM
# Of course on the 32bit System only 4GB is seen!
# Multiple un-raided SATA HD’s

To be fair,I figured I better use the same program to test the speed. But the only “multimedia” type program I had on both systems was Audacity: free for all the three major OS’s here!
