Okay, I got to put this out to the world. Is the following due to getting “old”, in other words a famed “Senior Moment” or because I just have bad software engineering skills.

I am currently building my own “Website Analytics” solution in php. So I first wrote a script to do the same thing the Apache Server Access logs do. (The company that actually owns the server charges me $2 a month. Yeah, $2 is $2!)  Anyway, since I do have other “Open Source” software on my Website (Ah! This is a Wordpress Blog. Cool how it look like part of my Website huh!), I had to insert snippets of code into their code so that visits to all the parts of the Website would show up.

Long story short, I forgot where I had put the one line code snippet in Wordpress! So is that a “Senior Moment” or just bad engineering habits? Why admit to all of this! So a friend of mine who has spent 30 plus years being a “Code Monkey” can read this and have a laugh!
